    Join us for our first ever peer-led “Coping with COVID-19” Virtual Support Group! Do you miss meeting with people face-to-face? Are you struggling with the daily stress and isolation that the Coronavirus epidemic has created? We will be meeting on ZOOM every WEDNESDAY from 5:30pm - 6:15pm, starting Wednesday, April 15, 2020. *This is an open meeting, but it requires registration to get the meeting link (no drop-ins). *Space is limited.

  • My HelloLine
    Mental Health & Recovery Board of Union County is partnering with Union County Senior Services and LifeBio to support senior citizens. Do you know a Union County Senior who is feeling isolated? Seniors can enroll in the local MyHelloLine. . . it’s FREE and confidential! Once a week, the enrolled senior will receive a 15-30 minute phone call from a trained LifeBio staff member just to check-in and share some good conversation. Union County Senior Services is helping with the enrollment; call (937) 644-1010 to sign-up.

    Temporarily Closed, but contact (740) 943-3079 in case of emergency. In addition, there will be a one-time distribution of personal needs items for residents of North Union School District on Saturday, June 6th (9 to 11 am) at Richwood First United Methodist Church. You MUST call ahead to place your order. Calls accepted from May 20 to May 30 (10 am to 7 pm only) at (740) 943-3079.

Unemployment Information
  • The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services urges individuals to file their claims online, if possible, at unemployment.ohio.gov.

  • Extended Call Center Hours
    • Those without internet access or who have case-specific questions can call 1-877-644-6562
    • (OHIO-JOB) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. (The call center formerly was operational from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.)
  • Coronavirus-Related Claims
    • Workers who lose their jobs as a result of the coronavirus can enter the mass-layoff number 2000180 on their applications. However, if affected individuals have already submitted claims without this number, they do not need to add it.
    • As a reminder, mass layoff notices are posted at jfs.ohio.gov/warn/current.stm.
