The United Way of Union County’s annual Stuff the Bus event wrapped up this week with a day long bus trip picking up supplies
collected by local businesses and organizations.
Marysville Schools provided the school bus and two bus drivers to assist in the pickup. Collected supplies included
almost 21,000 pieces of notebook paper, 7,200 crayons, 5,054 pencils, 1,493 pens, 353 three-ring binders, 164 boxes of tissues,
67 book bags, and much more.
“It was a wonderful experience to see our community come together and meet the need,” Corinne Bix, Campaign Director, said, “We are very grateful to all
who donated to this year’s Stuff the Bus event.”
Sorted supplies were distributed to Marysville, Fairbanks, North Union and Jonathan Alder schools. Those in need of supplies should contact their building guidance counselor.
