United Way of Union County kicked off its annual School Supply Drive “Stuff the Bus” this week.
Collection sites can be found county-wide at over 25 participating businesses and organizations. Marysville collection sites include: Adecco, City of Marysville, ContiTech, Edward Jones (all four area offices), Fraternal Order of Eagles, Honda of America, Honda Federal Credit Union, Honda Marysville, Junior Library Guild, Keller Williams, The Learning Cottage, Marysville Public Library, Memorial Hospital, Midwest Express, Primrose School of Marysville, Richwood Bank, The Salvation Army, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Trinity Lutheran and Union Rural Electric. Richwood collection sites include Parrott Implement, The Richwood Bank and The Richwood Library. There is also a collection site in Plain City at the Richwood Bank.
All area school districts are contacted prior to the school supply drive to ensure the cumulative list includes supplies being requested by teachers for the 2018-19 school year.
A complete list of items can be found HERE or by clicking on the graphic at the left.
The collection will end on July 31 when a Marysville School Bus will make the rounds and pick up all the donations. All donations will be sorted by volunteers at the Central Ohio Youth Center and distributed to schools in the Fairbanks, Jonathan Alder, Marysville, and North Union districts before the start of the school year.
“No child should experience anxiety over not having the correct supplies when they return to school this fall,” Corinne Bix, Campaign Director, said,
“We want to ensure that every local child has the necessary tools to start the school year off right.”
Sponsors of this year’s Stuff the Bus event include Jerome Village, Memorial Health, Interim Healthcare, Honda of America, Honda Federal Credit Union, Liberty National Bank and Midwest Express.
