The United Way of Union County Nonprofit Education Committee will present the next installment of its series of free seminars regarding topics of effective nonprofit management and leadership on Wednesday, May 25 at Union Rural Electricís Community Room. Best Practices for Nonprofit Organizations will focus on issues related to non-profit Constitution/Bylaws and Board Composition. All nonprofit organizations which serve Union County are invited to attend and board members of those organizations are highly encouraged to attend.
Dr. Phil Atkins, Executive Director of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County, will present information on best practices for constitution/bylaws composition for nonprofits. Those attending are strongly encouraged to bring along their current constitution/bylaws for review and to raise any questions they may have about their current documents.
Chris Norman, CFRE, will lead the presentation on best practices regarding Board make-up; recruiting Board Members and helping organizations determine who should be invited to serve. Both board members and staff of those organizations are strongly encouraged to bring along their current Board roster for review during this session.
Best Practices for Nonprofit Organizations will be held on Wednesday, May 25 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Union Rural Electricís Community Room located at 15461 US Route 36, Marysville.
