This past Sunday was the Community First Day at the Union County Fair and United Way of Union County volunteers collected food item and school supply donations in exchange for admission to the fair that day. Over three trucks full were collected, with 46 boxes of food and 2 boxes of school supplies total. All food donations have been sorted and divided among the food pantries at The Salvation Army, Milford Center Food Pantry, Plain City Food Pantry and Richwood Emergency Assistance Program. The school supplies will help kick-off United Way's annual Stuff the Bus drive being held this upcoming Friday. In addition, over $500 was collected that will go towards additional food and school supply purchases.
