Honda of America, Mfg. announced Tuesday it raised $239,490 for United Way of Union County during its recent 2014 campaign. That is a 7% increase over last year and the company’s highest total since 2008. It includes $159,660 in Associate giving and a $79,830 company match. The announcement puts United Way at 66% of its $1 million goal.
Corporate wide, Honda of America, Mfg. raised $1,425,629 in their campaign. Those dollars will be spread as associates designated to 60 of Ohio’s 88 counties. It is the 21st consecutive year that HAM raised more than $1 million during their United Way campaign. Officials credit incentives for early pledging and participation for the increased contributions.
