This fall, United Way awarded the North Union Junior Football League a $920 grant through the Youth Arts & Recreation Grant Fund. 10 of the 60 participants in the league had their participation fees paid for by United Way.
     

I believe it is important to include all children possible to teach teamwork and work ethic, as well as to include them with their peers in activities outside of the school setting. These growth experiences can help them become better community members in the future and may instill in them the giving spirit for their own lives.

“My husband and I have been long-time United Way supporters through payroll deduction. Until now, I didn't pay much attention to where the funds went. But it has been wonderful to see first hand how an organization can make a difference in people's lives.
