Volunteers need for 50 from 50 Campaign 10 0ctober 2010

Calling all United Way volunteers… United Way is, at its heart, a grassroots organization, governed by local volunteers who believe in our mission to bring neighbors and resources together to improve lives in Union County. You “LIVE UNITED” in your actions toward others, generously giving of your time and talents and treasures for the betterment of our community. YOU are our best advocate. We need to YOU to extend the invitation to “GIVE UNITED” to those we know who need to hear the message and join our efforts. Last year, a dedicated committee of volunteers reached out to friends, neighbors, family, and acquaintances to raise an additional $23,000 in the initial 50 from 50 Campaign. Without this support, we would have fallen short of the dollars raised the year prior and would have had to make devastating cuts to our financial support of needed programs and services of our Member Agencies. Hopeful to duplicate or even better that amazing project, we are going to begin the 50 from 50 Campaign at the end of October this year. We NEED your help! The “50 from 50 Campaign” is about to begin and we are counting on all of you to help us as we strive toward our $875,000 goal this year. We are asking that you might be able to commit 30 minutes to attend one 50 from 50 Training Session. There, you will learn everything you need to know about project, receive the necessary materials, instructions, and encouragement to carry out the project. The timeline of the actual 50 from 50 Campaign is the month of November. 50 from 50 Training Sessions are scheduled on the following dates and times at the United Way office: Tuesday October 26 at Noon Wednesday October 27 at 5:30 p.m. Thursday October 28 at 7:30 a.m. Please contact United Way at (937) 644-8381 ext. 2 or via e-mail at uwuc.dave@rrohio.com and let us know which session you will be attending so that we may prepare materials for you. In addition, please ask a friend to come with you so that we might be able to grow the committee.
