United Way turned Timberview Golf Club into a Comedy Club for one Saturday night in February to thank its leadership donors. A lineup of five up-and-coming central Ohio comedians thrilled the invitation-only audience of Pillar Society Members. The exclusive event featured a social hour, buffet dinner, and stand-up comedy. United Way annually conducts a thank you reception for its top donors. Thanks to event sponsorship provided by Honda Federal Credit Union, Memorial Hospital of Union County, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Slapstik Entertainment, and BuckeyeDJ.com, no donor dollars were used for this event. An invitation to the event is a benefit of membership in the Pillar Society, which begins with an annual donation to United Way of $500 or more. There are nearly 300 members in the Pillar Society who combined to give more than $250,000 to United Way during this past campaign, accounting for more than 30 percent of the total donations made to our organization this year!”
