About the United Way of Union County

Audrey Erickson (left) and Ruth Ann Geiger (right) of Curves deliver items collected on 4 December 2004 during the United Way's first-ever Winter Warm-Up to Barb Snodgres (middle) at the Personal Needs Pantry.
Volunteers collected seven shopping carts full of items over a six-hour period at the Marysville Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Big Lots.  597 items were donated, including 267 sets of gloves or mittens, 133 hats, 132 sets of gloves and hats, 27 sets of ear muffs, 16 headbands, seven pairs of boots, seven scarves, three coats, two pairs of slippers, two pairs of socks, and one tube of Chapstick.

Items are being distributed to the Personal Needs Pantry, the Marysville Clothes Closet, the Richwood Police Department, the Plain City Food Pantry, the Union County Special Needs Council, the Marysville Victory Center, and the Community Action Organization for distribution to children who need them.
