United Way of Union County conducted its Inaugural Putt FORE Kids! Mini-Golf Challenge Tuesday evening, May 1, 2007, at SportsOhio in Dublin. The event, presented by Memorial Hospital of Union County, the Gables at Green Pastures, and Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, raised more than $4,300 for United Way's Youth Arts & Recreation Grant Fund. 94 golfers participated in the family-friendly competition. Award winners included: 1st Place Team: Eric Keifer, Darla Keifer, Don Keifer, Juli Keifer 2nd Place Team: Jim Novak, Matt Novak, Steve Mulhern, Larry Hibbitts 3rd Place Team: Carl Zani, Brian Greavu, Jennifer Bartlett, Traci Higgins Individual Award Winners: Adult: Eric Keifer Age 15-18: Roselynn Brill Boy Age 11-14: Brandon Wright Girl Age 11-14: Elizabeth Hays Boy Age 6-10: Matt Novak Girl Age 6-10: Lilly Kincaid United Way of Union County makes a special thanks to Wright Sound Entertainment, which provided the DJ service FREE OF CHARGE for the Putt FORE Kids! Mini-Golf Challenge. They kept our party rocking all night and it was evident by the number of people singing along and dancing while they were playing their rounds! Club members conducted a bake sale (on a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon outside Wal-Mart, no less!) to raise money for their registration fees, giving $540 to United Way of Union County.
